A New Experience at Coal Drops Yard

The new King’s Cross shopping and restaurant district Coal Drops Yard, has been reinvented from a former area in the 1850's used to handle eight million tonnes of coal delivered to London each year. Heatherwick Studio has designed this stunning architectural marvel to combine contemporary design with surviving structures of the original Victorian coal drops, creating a place full of vibrancy and history. Adjacent to this area, designjunction will showcase the very latest in cutting-edge and iconic design during the London Design Festival.
