What is Designscape?

Designscape is a three-day virtual event, organised by thecreative minds behind Decorex, Sleep & Eat, kbb Birmingham and designjunction. Designscape aims to bring together those at the forefront of residential, hospitality and retail at a time when physical networking and deal-making is unfeasible.

Where will Designscape be held?

Designscape is an entirely virtual event, held on a multifaceted digital platform that allows for a seamless experience through networking with clients, sourcing products and digesting original content

 

When will Designscape be held?

Designscape is scheduled for August 11-13, 2020.

 

Why a completely virtual event?

At a time when physical networking and deal-making is difficult, the design community has been calling out for a place to meet, do business and be inspired.

 

Will there be an exhibition?

Designscape will house a Product Directory where you will be able to source via product type and sector. You will be able to see product catalogues and meet with exhibitors either via the Matchmaking Programme or during the live event. 

 

What is the Designscape doing to ensure a safe virtual environment?

Upon registering, all attendees agree to adhere to our Code of Professional Conduct. We reserve the right to remove attendees not behaving consistent with the Code of Conduct.


Attendance Quesitons

How do I attend Designscape?

Once you have registered, you’ll receive a confirmation email and reminders leading up to the event, including a link granting you access to the event platform to plan meetings, view content and connect with suppliers.

The platform opens to exhibitors attendees 13 July, and matchmaking opens 20 July (for all attendees).

Login your profile to start planning your event - add industry content to your schedule and pre-arrange meetings with potential business leads.

 

What does Designscape cost?

Nothing! Designscape is FREE to attend


What is included in my registration?

Access to the entire three days of Designscape content, Including:

  • Three keynote sessions scheduled at 10:00AM  BST Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday
  • All on-demand Webinars across the three days and for one month after the event
  • Access to the Product Directory
  • Access to our online Meetings Tool
  • Access to Speed Networking Sessions

Designers, Architects, Specifiers, Consultants, Retailers, Property Developers, Dealers & Distributors will receive 50 meeting requests for the duration of the event.

Non-exhibiting Manufacturers and Suppliers can purchase meeting requests within the portal and costs are as follows:

  • 10 requests = £500
  • 20 requests= £750

 

What time are the Keynote sessions?

Three keynote sessions scheduled at 10:00AM  BST Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday. All sessions will be available on-demand across the three days and one month after the event.

 

Can I interact with the speakers during the keynote/panel sessions?

Yes, some sessions will include live Q+A. Submit your questions to the presenter or request a meeting with the presenter to continue the conversation.


Can I see who else is attending and connect with them?

You can connect with suppliers by booking 30 minute video meetings using the Find Meetings feature - search for relevant business leads by company type, product interests and sector. 

 

Can I talk to suppliers?

Throughout the three days you will be able to see when any supplier is “online” and participant in ad-hoc video meetings via the online supplier stands. You can also reach out in the weeks leading up to the event to pre-arrange 30 minute video meetings.

 

How do the video meetings work?

Meetings will take place directly within the Designscape portal – no need to download any additional software. You will receive a 20-minute email reminder before each meeting. Follow the link directly to your video meeting; or access the ‘My Schedule’ page in your profile. Simply press ‘Join Meeting’ to access your video meeting.

 

Can I participate on my phone?

Yes, the environment is mobile friendly. However, we would always recommend accessing on a computer for the maximum experience.


Matchmaking Questions

How do I access the Matchmaking Service?

Registration will open on the 13 July, on the 20 July the platform will be live and you will be emailed log in details for your personal Matchmaking account. You will need to login to update your profile and book meetings with attendees and exhibitors.

 

Please note that profiles will be added to the Service daily, so we recommend logging in frequently to search and book meetings.

 

Who runs the Matchmaking Service?
The Matchmaking Service is run by Sector Global who is an approved partner of Informa Markets. 

 

When is the Matchmaking Service open?

You can access the Matchmaking Service search and select who you’d like to meet from the 20 July. Meetings can only take place across the three days of Designscape. Meetings can be scheduled at any time from 8:00 BST until 19:00 BST from Tuesday 11 August through Thursday 13 August. This offers 6 hours per day within which to book meetings. 

 

How will meetings work?

Meetings will take place virtually within the Matchmaking Service Portal and you can invite up to 8 people to attend each
one, provided that they are registered for Designscape.

There will also be two 1 hour Speed Networking video sessions taking place each day. These sessions will be made up of 12 rotating meetings, at a length of 5 minutes per meeting.

There will be guides available within the Portal on how to make the most of the Service, and Sector Global can also be contacted directly if you find that further questions arise.

 

Is access to the Matchmaking Service free of charge?

Access to the Matchmaking Service is free of charge for Interior Designers, Designers, Architects, Interior Architects, Retailers, Dealers and Distributors, and Specifiers.

Non-exhibiting Manufacturers and Suppliers can also purchase meetig requests within the portal for the following costs: 

  • 10 Pending Meeting Requests = £500
  • 20 Pending Meeting Request = £750
